How old must my daughter be to play on the Tour?
Girls 12 to 18 who have yet to enroll in college are eligible to participate in either Tour Division. For 12 year olds, any girl turning 12 during the calendar year is eligible to play the 2009 Tour.
Which division should I play in?
The Precision Division is a collegiate preparatory Tour. Many of the girls on this level have a high interest in competing in National competitions and are looking for state exposure that will help in scholarship opportunities for college golf. Players should be able to break 85 from the red tees and will play 5,700 – 6,000 yards on the Tour.
The Futures Division is designed for those girls looking to gain tournament experience. This stage is designed for players who can break 115 from the red tees and are looking for experience for middle and high school golf. Players will play the Red tees in competition.
Do I have to join the Tour to play an event?
Yes, the member fee is $25 and it is good for the 2009 calendar year.
Do these events count towards State or National rankings and/or Junior Golf Scoreboard?
Yes, two day events are submitted for TYGA state rankings and The Junior Golf Scoreboard. All divisions are ranked for Junior Golf Scoreboard, however only the girls competing in the Bell Division will earn TYGA State Ranking points. However, all events will count towards the PKB Tour’s year end point standing.
How do I withdraw from a tournament?
Official withdrawals will be refundable up until four days prior of each event. Players must call 336-510-4653 in advance of a tournament to withdraw. During
competition, a player must withdraw with the Tournament Director.
Can I get assistance with preparing for college?
Yes, the tour will be happy to assist you in your collegiate search. The tour will inform local area college coaches about the events and will be happy to assist all players who have an interest in pursuing golf in college.
